Our Wines

...from our patch of 25 year old vines at Merricks North on the Mornington Peninsula. A modern barrel-fermented Chardonnay with citrus and white nectarine characters, a long clean acid finish, layered complexity and subtle oak influence.

.....a rich style from a cool season displaying deep colour and powerful fragrance. Three years of bottle age has softened the wine as fruit and tannins merge into a complex and persistent style. Beautiful balanced oak maturation ensures this wine will continue to gain complexity as it matures. Our flagship wine from our 50 year old vines.

.....our classic Australian blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon that displays beautiful fruit characters of dark plums/blackberries balanced with subtle oak and a lingering aftertaste. A 65/35 blend matured in predominantly American oak that has a loyal following and is a personal favourite.

.....our second batch of sparkling shiraz is finally here, with fresh fruit character shining through the bubbles. A rich mid-palate hints at the small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend and a whisper of oak. This wine is the reserve batch, aged on lees for 30 months prior to disgorging. The dryish finish makes this wine very appealing. Very limited stock.

.....the reserve wine is a blend from four separate Shiraz ferments and a single barrel of Cabernet Sauvignon, blended for richness and structure using new top-end French oak and fruit from our old ‘bull’ vines in the first row of the vineyard. A wine style blended after two years of oak maturation, with parcels selected for fruit intensity, length of palate and fine tannins, and released at five years of age. We recommend further cellaring until 2030 if you can resist.

.....a small batch wine from the stunning 2021 vintage, we have blended some rich Cabernet Franc with Shiraz matured in new French oak for 20 months. While a young wine, the perfumed nose and rich palate combine to present a wine with great cellaring potential. The fruit, oak and tannins on the back palate will soften and develop with cellaring and reward the patient.

.....from the low yielding 2022 vintage this wine is another of our small batch wines. Wonderful ripe fruit and quality French oak maturation have combined to create a wine of balance, subtle power and intensity. The 2021 vintage was Runner Up by one vote in the Winebank People’s Choice Award for Bendigo’s Best Red 2024.

.....from the warm 2017 vintage, we bottled a few magnums as the wine shows great potential for medium-term cellaring. A complex nose of dark fruits showing a little aged character now. A concentrated and powerful palate of ripe plum, blackberry and spice notes balanced with clean acidity and persistent oak. Fine tannins provide a soft and long finish.
